iciHaiti - Football : Our Senior Grenadières soon in Morocco
As part of its preparation for the new 2025-2029 cycle of the Confederation of North, Central American and Caribbean Nations (CONCACAF), our senior Grenadières will be traveling to the African continent, from February 17 to 26, 2025. The Grenadières will set down their suitcases in Casablanca, the economic capital of the Kingdom of Morocco, where they will play a friendly match against the Moroccan national team on Tuesday, February 25, 2025.

French coach Malou Quignette will lead the Haitian selection for this mission, after his honorable performance during the international friendly tournament "Pink Ladies Week" in Turkey last October https://www.icihaiti.com/en/news-43527-icihaiti-pink-ladies-week-organizers-honor-our-grenadieres.html

This will also be an opportunity for Quignette to face Jorge Vilda, the former coach of Spain, world champion in 2023, recently appointed to lead the Moroccan women's team.

This match is part of the Haitian women's national team's preparations for an intense competitive cycle that will begin next summer with several major events :

  • The Concacaf W Championship 2025, the first qualifying stage for the Concacaf W 2026;
  • The Concacaf Women's Nations League, the first edition of which will be held in 2026 and will determine the qualifiers for the 2nd edition of the Women's Gold Cup;
  • The Concacaf W 2026, a qualifying tournament for the 2027 FIFA Women's World Cup in Brazil and the 2028 Olympic Games in Los Angeles.
