iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Security and organizational measures at the international airport

In response to passenger complaints about Hugo Chavez International Airport, Cap-Haitien Deputy Mayor Patrick Almonor brought together key stakeholders to address the concerns and propose solutions.

During the meeting, Almonor stressed the importance of collaboration between different entities to improve airport services and enhance passenger safety. He also highlighted the need for transparent communication to inform the public of the measures taken and the improvements underway.

Among the actions envisaged, the Municipal Commission is committed to:

- Increasing police presence and improving access controls at the airport;

- Creating a traveler assistance office and reorganizing services around the airport;

- Organizing regular press briefings and disseminating relevant information to travelers.

The municipal administration reiterated its commitment to working closely with the National Airport Authority (NAA) and other relevant institutions to ensure a safe and welcoming environment for airport users.
