As part of the project "Ensuring critical protection assistance for displaced persons and/or persons with disabilities in Haiti", the Fondation J'Aime Haïti (FJAH) has launched a new component with the support of the International Organization for Migration (IOM Haiti) and funding from the European Union, via its ECHO program

This new component of the project targets 275 children and young people displaced or affected by violence, including 60 with disabilities, using basketball as a resilience tool.

The 100 main participants will benefit from :

- Basketball training;
- Sign language training;
- Mental health support;
- Sports equipment;
- Nutritional support.

The other 175 participants will have access to :

- Sign language training;
- Mental health support;
- Sports equipment.

Deployed over a period of eight months, this new component creates spaces for meeting and solidarity where participants can, step by step, find a certain balance and build links beyond differences.
