On Friday, March 14, 2025, at the Villa d'Acceuil, Fritz Alphonse Jean, the President pro tempore of the Presidential Transitional Council (CPT), accompanied by Councilors Louis Gérald Gilles, Emmanuel Vertilaire, Edgard Leblanc Fils, Laurent Saint-Cyr, and Régine Abraham, held a meeting with members of the Superior Council of the Judiciary (CSPJ).

During this meeting, the two parties exchanged views on various points regarding the situation of the judicial system. They discussed several challenges facing the judicial system, including : the insecurity that prevents courts from functioning properly throughout the country, the location of the Court of First Instance in high-risk areas, as well as resource and logistical issues.

The members of the CPT promised to take steps to resolve the various problems facing the CSPJ to enable the judicial sector to better serve the population.
