On Tuesday, March 25, 2025, Fritz Alphonse Jean, President pro tempore of the Transitional Council, left Haiti for Jamaica on an official mission aimed at strengthening regional cooperation and defending Haiti's interests. This is Fritz Alphonse Jean's first official trip outside Haiti since being installed as President of the Transitional Council.

During his stay in Jamaica, he will meet with CARICOM envoys, Jamaican Prime Minister Andrew Holness, Barbados Prime Minister Mia Mottley, and U.S. Secretary of State Marco Rubio, which will spend two days in Jamaica (March 26 and 27).
