iciHaiti - NOTICE : The Dom. Rep. temporarily suspends judicial notifications in Haiti

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Dominican Republic (MIREX) announced the temporary suspension of judicial notification services in Haiti through its consulates due to the growing insecurity in that country.

This measure aims to protect the safety of consular personnel and ensure due process in the face of the challenges facing both nations.

In Haiti, the crisis of violence and institutional collapse have hampered the operation of Dominican consular offices, preventing the efficient management of judicial documents and other services. MIREX reiterated its concern about the situation in Haiti and indicated that it continues to monitor developments to make appropriate decisions regarding diplomatic and consular services.

MIREX emphasized that this decision will remain in effect until the necessary conditions exist to guarantee the security and operation of these services. The Ministry appealed for understanding from citizens who require these procedures and assured them that it is working to find viable solutions to restore service as quickly as possible. It also urged users to stay informed through official channels of any updates regarding this provision.
