iciHaiti - Vietnam : Closing of the 15th Francophone Film Festival at the Embassy of Haiti
The 15th Vietnam Francophone Film Festival had a memorable closing ceremony at the Embassy of Haiti in Hanoi, bringing together film enthusiasts, diplomats, and fans of Francophone culture.

Other embassies, such as those of Canada, Switzerland, Morocco, and many others, had the opportunity to screen their films at the National Cinema Center, offering the public an immersive experience of a variety of works.

The closing ceremony featured the screening of the acclaimed Haitian film Freda by director Gessica Geneus, which captivated the audience with its emotional power and authentic portrayal of contemporary Haitian society.

The audience also had the opportunity to sample traditional Haitian cuisine. Typical dishes such as griot, tasso, and banane pesée delight the taste buds, offering a complete immersion in Haitian culture beyond cinema.

Darlier Dorval, Chargé d'Affaires of the Embassy of Haiti, took the opportunity to present the famous Haitian Barbancourt rum, a convivial moment that allowed guests to taste an emblematic Haitian drink while chatting in a warm and relaxed atmosphere.

During the evening, a plaque of honor was awarded to the eminent Haitian designer Do Tri Nam, in recognition of his ongoing commitment to honoring Haiti through his creations and activities. The designer, who promotes Haiti's name through his works, was praised for his hard work and passion for Haitian culture.
