iciHaiti - DR : Significant seizures of contraband cigarettes from Haiti 05/04/2025 10:03:02
These operations were carried out in Dajabón, Elías Piña, Jimaní, and Pedernales, as part of CESFRONT's efforts to protect the border, ensure security, and curb illicit trade in the border region. The seized merchandise was believed to have been smuggled into the country from Haiti via various border crossings. The success of these seizures was made possible thanks to CESFRONT's Intelligence Unit (C2), which intensified its efforts to identify and neutralize smuggling networks. TB/ iciHaiti
