Plan International Haiti organized a five-day training on responsible parenting for 30 facilitators in the Southeast. This initiative aimed to promote a culture of positive parenting, essential to child well-being and the prevention of family and community violence in the department.

Training participant Marie Rosederline, a community leader and child protection activist, said, "After this wonderful training, the first thing I will do is apply the principles, then share this new knowledge with other members of my community, educate children on how they should make decisions, and finally build a trusting relationship with them."

Plan explains that responsible parenting goes far beyond simple daily supervision. It is a deep commitment to the emotional and intellectual development of our children. It involves creating an environment of love, respect, and open communication, where each child can thrive and reach their full potential.

By adopting a positive approach, we learn to :

- Understand our children's emotional needs;

- Communicate with empathy and kindness;

- Set healthy and constructive boundaries;

- Promote autonomy and self-confidence.
