iciHaiti - MMSS : Training on the care of wounded in combat situations
Medical personnel of the Multinational Security Support Mission (MMSS) conducted an advanced medical preparedness training focused on casualty stabilization during active combat, air and ground evacuation, patient handover, and definitive care. This training brought together medical providers from the Multinational Security Teams and Aspen Hospital, all while upholding the highest standards of clinical proficiency and patient safety.

It is commendable that the medical teams have demonstrated exceptional teamwork, working tirelessly to address the medical needs of deployed officers while maintaining exemplary professional standards. This training comes at a crucial time, as the Mission is engaged in decisive operations aimed at dismantling gang networks and restoring security for the people of Haiti.

In the same spirit, MSS leadership extends heartfelt condolences to the Haitian National Police (PNH) and the Haitian people following two tragic incidents in which three brave PNH officers lost their lives in the line of duty. These events unfold amid ongoing collaborative efforts by national and international stakeholders to trace and locate Kenyan police officer Benedict Kabiru, who remains missing in action. We remain hopeful for his safety no matter the current circumstance.

We express our sincere gratitude to the Haitian population for their continued support, cooperation, and solidarity as we intensify operations to bring key gang leaders to justice. Together, we are committed to helping Haiti reclaim its peace, stability, and rightful place of pride.
