iciHaiti - Education : 3rd Edition of the Eco-Genius Competition
The Ministries of Environment and Education, together with UNESCO, for the 3rd Edition of the Eco-Genius Competition, propel education to the heart of ecological action.

On Thursday, April 17, 2025, a wave of enthusiasm and ecological commitment marked the official launch of the 3rd edition of the Eco-Genius Competition. The event, the result of a strong partnership between the Ministries of Environment and Education, benefited from the support and active presence of key figures such as Minister of the Environment Moïse Fils Jean-Pierre and Eric Voli Bi, UNESCO Resident Representative in Haiti.

With a vibrant commitment to environmental issues, this ambitious competition aims to instill sustainable practices among Haitian youth and strengthen their crucial role in environmental protection. The central themes of this edition: eco-citizenship, waste management, biodiversity, and climate change, have been carefully selected to stimulate deep awareness and catalyze concrete and innovative actions to protect our planet.

Beyond the competitive aspect, the Eco-Genius Competition is part of a broader and lasting vision : that of Environmental Education. This fundamental educational approach aims to raise awareness among a broad public about contemporary ecological challenges and to highlight the ingenious solutions emerging from new generations.

The launch of this third edition of the Eco-Genius Competition promises to be a catalyst for innovative ideas and a springboard for the emergence of a generation of environmental leaders in Haiti. The emphasis on education, strongly reaffirmed by the UNESCO representative, positions this competition as an essential investment in the country's ecological future.
