The General Directorate of Migration (DGM), in collaboration with the army and police, conducted an operation in the community of Mata Mosquito, Friusa, Bávaro. The main objective of this operation was to identify and expel illegal immigrants who were illegally occupying private land.

The operation was supported by the National Police's special unit, the army, and tactical units. These agencies participated in the dismantling of makeshift zinc and wood dwellings that violated security regulations and were illegally occupied.

During the operation, more than 500 Haitian nationals in an irregular migration situation were arrested and transferred to the Haina detention center. In accordance with Law 285-04, they underwent verification procedures, biometric data collection, sanitation, and repatriation.

To prevent further illegal occupations, permanent surveillance has been established in the area, carried out by military and police personnel.
