On Tuesday, April 29, 2025, at a press conference, Divisional Commissioner Michel Ange Louis Jeune, Spokesperson for the Haitian National Police (PNH), provided a summary of the interventions and operations carried out in the country's various departments, as well as the changes of command in the North and South departments during the month of April 2025.
The events discussed, among other things, include bandits killed, seizures of firearms and ammunition, more than 40 arrests, and the reopening of several highways, including Delmas 17, 19, 30, and Nazon. Louis-Jeune was unable to say whether these areas were once again freely accessible to citizens.
