iciHaiti - Social : FAES launches three projects in Anse d’Hainault
On Monday, May 5, 2025, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) launched three new projects in Anse d'Hainault (Grand'Anse Department) aimed at building a footbridge over the Médisant River, promoting soil conservation and reforestation in Morne Pichigri, and developing a public square in Nan Franklin.

These projects, which are part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations (HA-J0005), with financial support from the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB), aim to :

• Improve the living conditions of participating local communities;
• Create 195 temporary jobs, 50% of which will be for women;
• Provide these 195 beneficiaries with technical training at a Construction School, validated by official certification from the National Institute of Vocational Training (INFP);
• Provide training in socio-emotional skills (the ability to identify, understand, express, and use one's own emotions and those of others) and insurance coverage for workers.

Welcomed enthusiastically by residents and beneficiaries, these projects, piloted on the ground by the expertise of the Pan American Development Foundation (PADF), will directly benefit the residents of Anse d'Hainault.
