iciHaiti - Cap-Haitien : Everything is ready for the celebration of Flag Day (Video)

This Saturday, May 17, 2025, the city of Cap-Haitien was already experiencing a special atmosphere. As a prelude to the May 18 parade, dozens of schoolchildren were present at the Place d'Armes in Cap-Haitien for a dress rehearsal. Singing, dancing, and pride were on hand to celebrate 222 years of the bicolor flag, in preparation for the parade marking Flag and University Day, this year's theme being "One Flag, One People, One Nation."

The actors were refining their choreography, patriotic songs, and artistic demonstrations one last time. Under the watchful eye of their instructors and a few admiring passersby, the children expressed their pride in representing their community on this highly symbolic day.

At Cap-Haitien City Hall, the atmosphere was lively. Cleanup crews had been working since early morning to beautify the city, while local, municipal, and departmental authorities redoubled their efforts to make this event a success.

Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils Aimé, accompanied by several members of his cabinet, visited the venues where the parades and marches will be held.

Cap-Haitien is ready to welcome its sons and daughters, as well as its guests, for a celebration steeped in history and full of hope for a nation that believes in its values.

On the eve of the commemoration of the 222nd anniversary of the creation of the national flag, the technical teams of the MJSAC's Department of Physical Activities and Sports, in coordination with several hundred mobilized young people, were busy finalizing preparations for the grand official parade planned in the city of Cap-Haitien.

In an atmosphere filled with enthusiasm and patriotic fervor, the young people actively participated in the final rehearsal of this key moment of the May 18th ceremonies, which celebrates one of the pillars of our republican identity.
