iciHaiti - Artibonite : Scam in certain schools

Gary Charles, Departmental Director of Education for Artibonite (DDE-Art.), informs parents in general and school administrators in particular that a Unique Student Identification Number (NISU) is assigned to each student, allowing them to be identified throughout their education in the Haitian school system via the Education Management Information System (SIGE) platform.
This Departmental Directorate deplores the fact that some school administrators refuse to provide the NISU to students who have requested it, but the NISU has become a commodity, to the point of demanding large sums of money in exchange. The DDE-Art calls on these school principals to put an end to this dishonest practice and reminds them of their obligation to include the NISU on all student documents, such as school reports, transcripts, class formation lists, and end-of-year decisions, in accordance with the ministerial provisions of March 1st, 2024.
Sanctions are provided for anyone who violates these ministerial provisions.
