iciHaiti - European Union : Unprecedented campaign on social protection (video)
The European Union in Haiti unveils its public campaign for social protection, "Retrèt pou do'm poze". Since June 9, 2025, the Delegation of the European Union in Haiti has launched a unique campaign to raise awareness and mobilize around social protection, a fundamental pillar of a fairer and more resilient society.

In a context where the majority of Haitians live without a safety net due to insecurity, illness, old age, or loss of income, the European Union, alongside the Haitian government and its partners, is committed to making social protection an effective right for all. This campaign, led by Group Croissance S.A. and produced with Haitian creators and journalists, is part of a participatory and civic-minded approach, reflecting European commitments to open governance and social justice.

Through articles, podcasts, video series, and infographics, the campaign highlights life stories, concrete challenges, and existing solutions that can be strengthened.

The initiative is based on a web series entitled "Retrèt pou do m poze", which depicts a story inspired by everyday life : Marie, a worker in a family business, retires after twenty years of service; Esther, her daughter, anticipates life's difficulties by paying contributions early. Through these portraits, the campaign addresses the major challenges of social protection: retirement, health insurance, social assistance, intergenerational solidarity, and the inclusion of self-employed workers.

The web series will be broadcast every evening from June 9 to 13 at 6:30 p.m. on the platforms of the Delegation and its partners.

The EU thanks the authors, artists, and contributors to the Social Protection component of the campaign.
