The MHAVE continues to strengthen its ties with the Haitian diaspora. On Friday, June 13, 2025, as part of her tour, Ms. Kathia Verdier, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad, held an important working session with staff at the Haitian Embassy in Brasilia.

This meeting took place in a spirit of collaboration with Embassy staff, while several representatives of Haitian organizations based in several Brazilian states participated via Zoom. The meeting focused on improving consular services, such as passports, National Identity Cards, birth certificates, etc...

The discussions highlighted the need to improve the efficiency of administrative procedures, reduce document processing times, and provide better services to Haitian compatriots living in Brazil. During this meeting, the MHAVE's list of grievances was filled with several important requests and recommendations. Minister Verdier committed to ensuring proper follow-up on each case.
