The General Directorate of the Public Treasury and Public Accounting (DGTCP) chaired a hybrid (in-person and virtual) meeting on optimizing the collection of Public Treasury revenue.

This joint meeting brought together representatives from the Ministry of Economy and Finance, the Bank of the Republic of Haiti (BRH), the General Directorate of Taxes (DGI), and the General Administration of Customs (AGD).

The working session focused on optimizing Public Treasury revenue, an initiative that is part of a broader effort to modernize the public financial management system, with a particular focus on the digitalization of payments and the interconnection of systems between different collection agencies and other stakeholders.

Participants discussed current cyclical and structural challenges in the Public Treasury's resource collection chain, potential solutions, and the steps required to effectively move toward timely project completion.

It was decided to create working groups on key aspects such as IT infrastructure, finalize project framework documents, and develop a public awareness plan for modernization efforts.
