![]() iciHaiti - Politic : Two Haitian jurists elected to the OAS 28/06/2025 10:18:45
The Inter-American Juridical Committee is a consultative body created in 1948 by the OAS Charter with the mission of fostering the development of international law in the Americas. This Committee is headquartered in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. The Justice Studies Center of the Americas (CEJA) was created in 1999 by the OAS General Assembly to promote the reform and strengthening of judicial systems in Latin America and the Caribbean. Ms. Cavé is historically the first Haitian citizen to be appointed to this Center. These two elections are part of the Transition period's foreign policy, which aims to strengthen Haiti's presence on the international stage by promoting its national expertise in multilateral institutions.
