iciHaiti - Governance : The CPT met with a delegation of private sector organizations
The Presidential Transitional Council (CPT) met with a delegation of private sector organizations to initiate an institutional dialogue on good public governance and a healthier and more competitive business environment.

This joint initiative aims to establish a coordinated and sustainable regulatory framework for cooperation between the state and the private sector. This framework must guarantee access to public economic and financial information, the traceability of transactions between different sectors of the economy, as well as respect for the fundamental principles of accountability, transparency, and fair and healthy competition, through clear, effective, and legally binding mechanisms.

Such a mechanism will contribute, in particular, to strengthening state resources, an essential condition for addressing the country's major security, economic, and social challenges. In particular, it will help to better combat insecurity, notably by exercising more effective control of land and maritime borders, raise the population's education and health levels, and stimulate the economy while taking into account the imperatives of national competitiveness to generate thousands of jobs and offer young people viable opportunities in their own countries.

In the same spirit, rigorous and efficient management of the resources collected is essential to restore trust between the State and its citizens and revive hope for a better future for all.

The participants in the meeting affirmed their commitment to jointly building the foundations of modern, effective, and transparent governance, essential to sustainable economic and social progress.
