iciHaiti - Training : Empowering Women Leaders in Displaced Persons Camps 07/07/2025 08:20:08
This training will enable them, among other things, to better participate in prevention and awareness-raising campaigns, actively participate in the development and implementation of interventions tailored to their communities, and identify and report hygiene, sanitation, and health problems to the Ministry for necessary follow-up. Training topics include : - Handwashing, one of the best ways to combat cholera and other waterborne diseases; - Access to water and its treatment, to ensure access to safe drinking water; - Women's leadership and community engagement, for greater participation of women in health decisions; - How to prevent and manage infectious and chronic diseases in difficult environments.  It is important to remember that women play a central role in the health of their families and communities. By training them, the Ministry ensures that prevention messages reach a wide audience, while strengthening their autonomy and capacity for action. IH/ iciHaiti
