As part of the Safety Net Strengthening Program for Vulnerable Populations (HA-J0005), the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES) is increasing the number of projects (rehabilitation, renovation, and construction) financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB). These community initiatives enable thousands of heads of household, both men and women, to earn a vital income to meet their household needs. 1 - Beaumont (Grand'Anse) : Concreting of Frère Portier Street over a distance of 107 meters to improve travel during heavy rains. Supervision : International NGO CECI Jobs : 76 heads of household, including 39 women. Launch of 3 new projects : Launch of 3 new community infrastructure projects aimed at improving the living conditions of local populations: 1. Construction of a community cistern on the 1st ruelle Rémy, to facilitate access to drinking water; 2. Construction of a footbridge in the village of Noailles, to improve mobility and enhance safety for residents. 3. Construction of a footbridge in Trois Rigoles, to open up the area and allow for better traffic flow. Supervision : International NGO Viva Rio 2 - Beaumont (Grand'Anse) : Concreting of 210 meters on rue des Pommes, a key project in improving traffic flow at the local level. Supervision : International NGO CECI Jobs : 91 heads of household, including 39 women. 3 - Beaumont (Grand'Anse) : Rehabilitation work on Rue Place and creation of a recreational area in Mouline. The work includes concrete slabs over a 130-meter stretch of Rue Place, as well as the upcoming creation of a 380-square-meter community space.
