As part of a five-day joint official mission led by the Ministry of Social Affairs and Labor (MAST), the Government provided substantial humanitarian assistance to displaced persons in the Centre department.

The government delegation distributed 10,000 food kits containing no-cook food and 1,550 health kits to refugee camps and host families. These operations affected, among others, the communes of Hinche, Savanette, Thomonde, Boucan Carré, and Belladère.

In addition, six community restaurants were set up in the department (one in Belladère, two in Boucan Carré, two in Hinche, and one in Thomonde) to provide hot meals to the population, especially those living in camps.

This is a joint government initiative involving the MAST, the Economic and Social Assistance Fund (FAES), the National Migration Office (ONM), the General Directorate of Civil Protection (DGPC), the City Hall, and the Haitian National Police (PNH).
