The BRH wishes to remind customers that the exercise of these activities requires prior authorization from the Central Bank in accordance with the decree of July 6, 1989, amended by the decree of June 16, 2020, on money transfer houses, and the provisions of Circular No. 121 on electronic payment services. Only authorized banks, money transfer houses, and Electronic Payment Service Providers (FSPs) (divisions of mobile phone companies, technology companies, or deposit-taking financial institutions) may engage in money transfer activities and electronic payment services.
