iciHaiti - Economy : Economic Intelligence is essential as a lever to strengthen competitiveness

Anouce Bernard, President of the Haiti Center for Competitiveness and Strategy (CCS-Haiti), welcomes the strategic initiative of the Investment Facilitation Center (CFI), which launched its Department of Economic Studies and Intelligence (DEI) on July 24 and 25, 2025. https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45415-haiti-economy-cfi-relies-on-economic-intelligence-to-better-guide-investment-in-haiti.html . This advancement represents a major turning point for Haiti, by integrating Economic Intelligence (EI) among the tools for steering public governance.

"In a constantly changing global context, EI is emerging as an essential lever for strengthening competitiveness, anticipating economic transformations, and directing investments toward strategic sectors.

The CCS-Haiti recommends three priority measures to support this momentum :

1. Encourage the creation of an inclusive territorial resilience platform, in partnership with local authorities, to strengthen anticipation and adaptation capacities;

2. Develop certified training programs in strategic intelligence;

3. Integrate Competitive Intelligence into priority sectoral strategies (agriculture, energy, textiles, tourism, etc.).

The CCS-Haiti, along with the Strategic Consortium of Intelligence Professionals / Intelligence Center of Excellence (SCIP ICeO), reaffirm their commitment to supporting national institutions in structuring a truly national Competitive Intelligence system, serving the country's sustainable development and economic sovereignty."

Learn more about Competitive Intelligence :

Competitive Intelligence is a set of offensive and defensive methods and practices aimed at acquiring, analyzing, exploiting, disseminating, and protecting reliable, high-value information useful for decision-making, engagement, and action. It encompasses monitoring (technological, competitive, etc...), the protection of sensitive information (know-how, patents, etc...), and the ability to influence one's environment.
