Municipal security is becoming more difficult every day, the municipal administration of Cap-Haitien stated in a note specifying that "[...] Despite their limited resources, security agents are doing everything they can to maintain order, protect life, and ensure the smooth running of the municipality.

Therefore, the municipal administration is asking for the cooperation of all citizens, all those who love the city, to work together to give Cap-Haïtien a new face. Recalling that today, Cap-Haitien is more than a city :

• It is a historic and tourist destination ;

• It is a refuge for all those fleeing violence ;

• It is a national heritage that we must protect.

We cannot accept the presence of markets or garages everywhere in the city ! We cannot allow motorcycles and cars to circulate on the roads, regardless of how they are driven. The coastline must remain free; it is not a pedestrian area; it must be connected to all the boulevards all the way to the airport intersection. Sidewalks and roads are not for sale. Merchants must respect the spaces already designated for commercial activities.

In the event of non-compliance, it is the responsibility of the city hall and municipal security officers to restore order, respecting human rights, without violence, but with determination. In carrying out their duties, all citizens must respect municipal security officers to avoid falling foul of the law. [...]
