iciHaiti - Politic : The country relies on its youth to build a sustainable and sovereign future
As part of International Youth Day (August 12), celebrated by the United Nations, Haiti is counting on its youth to build a sustainable and sovereign future. Under the theme "Local Youth Actions for the SDGs and Beyond" this day celebrates the strength, creativity, and determination of young Haitians.

Through their bold initiatives, they are paving the way for a new, sovereign, inclusive, and sustainable Haiti, capable of meeting all challenges.

The Government invites the entire Nation to recognize and support these young leaders who are driving change. It is committed to strengthening the means of action, increasing spaces for expression, and integrating young people into all decision-making bodies, because their voice is essential to building a future that lives up to their dreams.

J. E. Kathia VERDIER, Minister of Haitians Living Abroad (MHAVE), wishes to salute Haitian youth, wherever they are in the world. "Haiti's future depends on the energy, creativity, and commitment of its young people, whether they are students, entrepreneurs, workers, artists, or innovators. Haitian youth, despite economic, social, and political challenges, remain a key driver of change and a pillar of our national identity."

In a global context marked by rapid change and uncertainty, young people in the diaspora and those living in the country share a common duty : to build a more just, prosperous, and inclusive Haiti together.

"To all young Haitians, remember that your strength lies in unity and determination. Let us continue to learn, undertake, and innovate, because every step you take toward your dreams is also a step toward rebuilding Haiti."
