iciHaiti - Economy : Graduation and swearing-in of 62 new customs officers
Marie Florence Phanord Alouidor, Director of the National Customs School, welcomed 62 new customs officers at the beginning of the week for the graduation and swearing-in ceremony.

Julcene Édouard, Director General of the General Customs Administration (AGD), in his welcoming remarks, did not hide his joy and pride in welcoming the third class of 2025 customs officers.

Alfred Fils Mettelus, Minister of Economy and Finance, praised Director General Édouard's continued focus on training and strengthening human resources, recalling that customs contributes fully to protecting the national economy, beyond its control and taxation role.

His speech focused primarily on the importance of developing young Haitians through training and encouraged the new graduates not to stop there. Drawing on the career path of the Deputy Director General of the AGD, who gradually climbed the ranks of this prestigious institution thanks to the numerous training courses he undertook both in Haiti and abroad.

Recalling the motto of the class, "Become better to serve better !", the Minister asked the young graduates to continue to inform and educate themselves using modern means of accessing information to reach higher levels, and to devote themselves to reading to learn to dream big. Finally, he invited the recipients to fulfill their mission with rigor, integrity, and ethics.
