iciHaiti - Health : Signing of an agreement on the revival of the rehabilitation sector 22/08/2025 10:08:54
This agreement aims to restructure and revive the rehabilitation sector in Haiti, which suffered a major setback with the vandalism of the Bon Repos Rehabilitation Center. The goal is to create a cooperative framework to coordinate national activities, channel technical and financial resources, and provide specialized assistance, all while respecting standards and protocols of care. The central objective of this partnership is to make rehabilitation a sustainable reality for the Haitian population, particularly the most vulnerable. Concretely, the collaboration should help reduce the impact of non-communicable diseases, integrate specialized services such as physiotherapy into hospitals, and generally improve access to care for all those in need.
