iciHaïti - Obituary : Passing of Édouard Jean Baptiste alias «Ti Edwa»

The Haitian Football Federation (FHF) learned with deep sadness of the passing of Édouard Jean Baptiste, alias "Ti Edwa," on Wednesday, August 20, 2025, in the Dominican Republic.

Originally from Cap-Haitien (12G Street), a former player for the Association Sportive Capoise in the late 1960s, who transferred to Violette Athlétique and then became an iconic masseur for the blue and white club and the Haitian national team, "Ti Edwa" left his mark on several generations of players with his dedication and passion. He will remain in the collective memory of the great Haitian football family as a generous, attentive man deeply committed to his profession.

In this sad circumstance, the FHF offers its sincere condolences to the bereaved family, loved ones of the deceased, and Violette AC. It expresses its solidarity and support to them during this difficult time.

May his soul rest in peace.
