iciHaiti - Security : PM's Follow-up Visit to the Tactical Training Center
On Thursday, October 23, 2025, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé, accompanied by Cristóbal Dupouy, Special Representative of the Secretary General of the Organization of American States (OAS), visited the Haitian National Police (PNH) Tactical Training Center located in Morne Casse, in the commune of Fort-Liberté (Northeast Department). The purpose of this visit was to inquire about the progress of the rehabilitation work at this center, funded by the Government of Canada and implemented by the OAS.

This Tactical Training Center is part of a strategic partnership between the Haitian Government, the OAS, and Canada, aimed at strengthening national capacities in security and institutional governance. It aims to create a modern and sustainable training center designed to meet the needs of specialized units, equipped with equipment adapted to operational requirements, internationally recognized training programs, and the development of a corps of Haitian instructors to ensure the center's long-term autonomy.

This 24-month project reflects the partners' shared desire to increase the professionalism, competence, and effectiveness of national institutions, with a view to contributing sustainably to stability, security, and public peace.

Through this joint support, the Government of Canada and the OAS reaffirm their commitment to Haiti and demonstrate international solidarity and shared responsibility in building a secure, resilient, and looking to the future.
