Minister of Youth and Sports (MJSAC) Ms. Dévalis Octavius ​​is immensely proud of the historic qualification of the Haitian National Football Team for the 2026 FIFA World Cup, scheduled to take place from June 11 to July 19, 2026, in the United States, Canada, and Mexico.

This qualification marks the return of the Grenadiers to the highest level of world football.

The MJSAC applauds the remarkable performances throughout the qualifying rounds, characterized by exemplary solidarity, unwavering determination, and admirable resilience, which allowed our team to assert its dominance in its group and secure the country's second appearance in a World Cup finals, fifty-two (52) years after the 1974 Munich World Cup (Germany).

Through this achievement, the Grenadiers have proven to the world that Haiti can rely on its youth to meet its challenges, reinvent itself, and strive for excellence. They deserve, therefore, the admiration and recognition of the entire nation for their memorable journey and unwavering patriotic commitment.

Minister Octavius ​​extends her warmest congratulations to the Grenadiers and recalls that, upon taking office in June 2024, she called upon all stakeholders to mobilize in order to make this qualification possible.

Building on this historic victory, the Minister now calls for a concerted national effort to ensure the team has the optimal preparation and support necessary for a worthy performance at the 2026 FIFA World Cup finals.
