iciHaiti - UNESCO : Transfer of equipment to the Directorate of «Génie Scolaire»

This week, as part of the Integrated Recovery Plan for the Southern Peninsula (PRIPS), the UNESCO Office in Haiti handed over a consignment of equipment to the Directorate of "Génie Scolaire" of the Ministry of National Education.

The equipment transferred to the Ministry included laptops and desktop computers, tablets, a multifunction printer, computer accessories, and technical equipment for monitoring school infrastructure, such as a metal detector and a crack tester. The equipment also included projection equipment and consumables necessary for its operation.

Jean Luc Tondreau, Officer in charge of the UNESCO Office in Port-au-Prince, noted that "this transfer of equipment is part of UNESCO’s commitment to supporting the strengthening of national capacities in the management and monitoring of school infrastructure, for the benefit of sustainable access to quality education."
