iciHaiti - Culture : Launch of the 19th edition of Artisanat en Fête
On Tuesday, December 16, 2025, the 19th edition of Artisanat en Fête (Crafts Festival) was officially launched under the theme "Creation, Production". A true showcase of creativity and the richness of Haitian traditions, Artisanat en Fête, organized by Le Nouvelliste and the Institute for Research and Promotion of Haitian Art (IRPAH), highlights the central role of crafts in the national cultural identity. This major event, dedicated to promoting artisanal expertise, will bring together nearly 200 artisans from all specialties to present their latest creations to the public.

"Supporting Haitian artisans means recognizing the value of a living heritage, a bearer of identity, memory, and creativity. Haitian art has its rightful place on the national and international stage," emphasized Jean Luc Tondreau, UNESCO Officer in charge in Haiti.

The 19th edition of Artisanat en Fête (Crafts Festival) will be held on Saturday, December 20 and Sunday, December 21, 2025, from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., at the École des Frères de l’Instruction Chrétienne located on Place Saint Pierre in Pétion-ville.

The entrance fee is 1,000 gourdes. Thanks to the support of our partners, this 1,000 gourdes will be given to visitors in the form of a discount coupon that they can use to purchase items at the fair. Beverages from La Couronne will also be offered to participants. Admission is free for children under 12.
