Haiti - Dominican Rep. : Medical assistance to 47 Kenyans
According to data from the Ministry of Foreign Affairs (Mirex), the Dominican Republic, within the framework of Memorandum of Understanding signed on humanitarian and logistical cooperation with the Multinational Security Support (MSS) mission deployed in Haiti, provided medical evacuation and assistance to 47 MMSS members, mostly Kenyans, between July 31, 2024, and November 1st, 2025.

This assistance included medical evacuations to the Dominican Republic for specialized care, as well as the reception of the bodies of two Kenyan police officers killed in action, to facilitate their repatriation to Kenya.

Kenya expressed its gratitude and appreciation for the crucial support provided by the Dominican Republic, which supplied these essential services when they were unavailable in Haiti.

Since the transformation of the MMSS into the Gang Supression Force (FRG), approved by the United Nations Security Council (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-45891-haiti-flash-the-security-council-has-voted-for-the-new-gang-repression-force.html), a Kenyan soldier was evacuated to the Dominican Republic on November 12 to receive specialized medical care.

The Ministry of Foreign Affairs (MIREX) indicated that to date, all members of the International Mission in Haiti who received medical assistance have returned to their respective missions or countries of origin, once the necessary medical procedures were completed.
