iciHaiti - Politic : The PM engages in dialogue with leaders of grassroots organizations
On Friday, December 26, 2025, as part of a series of multi-sectoral dialogues held during the holiday season, Prime Minister Alix Didier Fils-Aimé met with leaders of grassroots community organizations in the populars neighborhoods of the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area.

During this dialogue, the Prime Minister reiterated his call for the political integration and social inclusion of grassroots organizations to create a peaceful environment for 2026, a priority year for security and the organization of general elections.

The community leaders presented their demands, highlighting the expectations of the working-class neighborhoods, particularly regarding the fight against insecurity, the free movement of people and goods, and the improvement of living conditions for the population.

The discussion also addressed the situation of displaced persons, women and girls who are victims of gang-related violence, and sanitation.

For immediate, concrete action, the Prime Minister pledged to implement a streetlamp installation program in Solino and Delmas 30, aimed at facilitating residents' return to their neighborhoods and strengthening the effectiveness of law enforcement in neutralizing armed gangs.

Fils Aimé's initiatives are part of a broader effort to consolidate political stability, create jobs, and revitalize the economy, paving the way for free and democratic elections.
