The Haitian National Police (PNH) reports that during an operation conducted in downtown Port-au-Prince on the evening of Tuesday, January 26, at least 8 bandits were fatally wounded by law enforcement during an exchange of gunfire that continued until midnight.

Two assault rifles, four magazines, and ammunition were seized.

The PNH urges the public to actively cooperate with the police by sharing any information that could help combat insecurity, while guaranteeing the confidentiality of sources.
