iciHaiti - Security : Strategic deployment across the entire territory

On Saturday, January 31, 2026, the Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), Vladimir Paraison, held an important strategic meeting with members of the High Command and departmental directors to discuss measures to be adopted throughout the country during the month of February.
Several key points were addressed, including strengthening security measures in all departments. It was also decided to deploy officers from the 35th promotion of the National Police Academy (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46699-haiti-security-graduation-ceremony-for-877-new-police-officers.html) to several departments, particularly Artibonite, North, Centre, Nippes, and Southeast. Strengthening equipment and supplies, particularly by providing armored vehicles to departments that previously lacked them, is also among the priorities identified.
Following this meeting, Paraison issued formal instructions to all departmental directors to take all necessary measures to guarantee the safety of the population and ensure the protection of infrastructure throughout the ten departments.
