After an intensive training camp in Ouanaminthe to complete the final phase, the U-17 men's national team, which departed Haiti on Tuesday, February 3, is in Guatemala for the FIFA U-17 World Cup Qatar 2026 qualifying round.

The delegation consists of 30 members : 20 players and the technical staff, under the leadership of head coach Kowsky Sainvil and National Technical Director Chéry Pierre.

While the team was staying in Ouanaminthe, at the Vapò team's base, Coach Kowsky Sainvil took the opportunity to work on all aspects of the game with the young Grenadiers, in order to better prepare them for their three opponents. The team also played two friendly matches in Cap-Haïtien before leaving the country: a 1-1 draw against Real du Cap and a 2-0 victory against Mercure.

Haiti, currently in Group C, will be seeking qualification for the 48-team World Cup finals in Qatar. In their opening group match, our Grenadiers will face the "Spice Boys" the Grenada national team.

Group C Qualifying Match Schedule : Our Grenadiers will play three group stage matches in Guatemala at the Estadio Cementos Progreso from February 3rd to 12th, 2026.
