On Friday, February 13, 2026, Vladimir Paraison, Acting Commander-in-Chief of the Haitian National Police (PNH), accompanied by members of the High Command, presented two plaques of appreciation, honor, and merit to two Canadian police officers : Pascal Courtemanche, Lieutenant General of the Royal Canadian Mounted Police (RCMP), and Malek Hamadene, RCMP Training Coordinator. These two Canadian officers, nearing the end of their mission in Haiti, received this distinction for their services rendered over the past year to the PNH in providing tactical training to Haitian police officers, with the aim of strengthening the institution's operational capabilities. Paraison took the opportunity to thank and express his gratitude for the invaluable contribution of the RCMP to the PNH's ongoing efforts to curb insecurity and restore public order in Haiti. At the end of the ceremony, the officers renewed their commitment to serving the Haitian National Police (PNH), stating that they would be honored to return to Haiti for any future missions.
