iciHaiti - Health : High-Level Meeting between DINEPA and UNICEF
Engineer Théophil Ostinville, Director General of the National Directorate for Drinking Water and Sanitation (DINEPA), and Ms. Geetanjali Narayan, UNICEF Representative in Haiti, accompanied by their respective technical staff, participated in a high-level strategic meeting.

This meeting, held within the framework of strengthening institutional cooperation and consolidating the strategic partnership between the two entities, allowed both parties to exchange views in depth on several ongoing priority activities, including emergency interventions in camps for internally displaced persons in the Port-au-Prince metropolitan area, financed by the World Bank, as well as various initiatives related to the construction and rehabilitation of water infrastructure in several regions of the country, financed by the Inter-American Development Bank (IDB).

DINEPA reaffirmed its commitment to continue its efforts to sustainably improve drinking water and sanitation services, in close collaboration with its technical and financial partners, particularly UNICEF.

Access to drinking water, sanitation, and hygiene for children and the most vulnerable populations was a central theme of these discussions, reflecting the shared commitment of both institutions to coordinated, effective, and sustainable responses to the country's humanitarian and structural challenges.
