iciHaïti - OFATMA : Strengthening OFATMA services on the Central Plateau
Vikerson Garnier, Director General of the Office of Occupational Accident, Illness, and Maternity Insurance (OFATMA), led a delegation of senior managers: Dr. Jacques Dulaurier, from the Departmental Directorate Coordination; Dr. Lucien Charley Trévent, from the Social Security Coordination Directorate (DCSS); and Ms. Marie Iphania Marcellus, Director of Human Resources. They conducted a series of visits to assess OFATMA's operational capabilities in the Central Plateau region.

In his remarks, Vikerson Garnier reaffirmed his commitment to providing OFATMA-Centre with the necessary resources to increase its efficiency. He also announced the steps taken by the institution to ensure payment to partner hospitals, guaranteeing continuity of care for insured individuals.

The Departmental Director, Rony Destiné, welcomed the delegation and outlined the main challenges facing the Departmental Directorate.

The delegation met with all administrative and technical staff to discuss existing challenges and identify concrete solutions to improve the office's operations.

Continuing his mission in the department, Garnier visited Sainte Thérèse Hospital in Hinche, where he met with Dr. Wolve Irvens Charles, the Central Departmental Director of Health, and Dr. Denold Milsoit, the hospital's Executive Director. He pledged to ensure the necessary follow-up regarding payments to the institution, in order to guarantee quality care for insured individuals in the Central Department.

Furthermore, to address the difficulties related to the production of insurance cards, he announced the deployment, in the coming months, of technical teams tasked with producing insurance cards for the department's insured residents.
