iciHaiti - 2027 World Cup Qualifiers : Our senior Grenadières in training
On Friday, February 27, 2026, as part of the CONCACAF Champions League qualifiers for the FIFA Women's World Cup Brazil 2027 (June 24 to July 25, 2027), Swedish national team coach Pia Sundhage, the world-renowned new head coach of Haiti's senior women's national team (https://www.haitilibre.com/en/news-46849-haiti-flash-swedish-pia-sundhage-new-coach-of-grenadieres-senior.html), led her first training session in Paramaribo, in preparation for the match against Suriname's Jaguars (Group D) on March 3, 2026.

The Grenadières completed an intense session, replicating on the field a previous indoor workout. The connection between the players was natural, and the group quickly absorbed the advice, fostering complete cohesion.

After an intense morning session focused on pressing, possession, and working in the final third of the pitch—a physically demanding workout—the coaching staff organized a team-building activity to strengthen group spirit.

The Haitian delegation shared a friendly moment at a bowling alley in the city center. For an hour, the players alternated between friendly competition and laughter, reinforcing camaraderie and solidarity within the group.

Three players distinguished themselves: Anyssa Ibrahim, Melchie Dumornay, and Sherly Jeudy.

Group D Match Schedule :
March 3rd, 2026 :
Haiti vs. Suriname
April 9, 2026 :
Haiti vs. Anguilla
April 17, 2026 :
Haiti vs. Dominican Republic
