On Tuesday, March 10, 2026, Engineer Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, Minister of Public Works, accompanied by Hans Célestin, Director General of the National Civil Aviation Office (OFNAC), and José Bernard Mathas Schettini, Director General of the National Airport Authority (AAN), officially handed over a batch of specialized equipment to the fire department at Toussaint Louverture International Airport.

This donation includes two new fire trucks, veritable technological marvels, designed to strengthen the intervention capabilities of Toussaint Louverture International Airport in Port-au-Prince and Cap-Haitien International Airport.

Compliant with international airport security standards, this equipment aims to improve the speed and efficiency of interventions in the event of an incident, thus contributing to the protection of passengers, crews, and infrastructure.

On this occasion, Minister Pierre Louis stated that this initiative embodies the Prime Minister's strategic vision, which aims to make the modernization and security of airport infrastructure a national priority.
