DCPJ strenghts the operational capacities of its officers 13/03/2026 10:17:41
As part of its efforts to strengthen the operational capacities of its officers, the Central Directorate of the Judicial Police (DCPJ) participated this week in a training session on mass atrocities and their judicial handling. Organized by the Human Rights Office of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), this activity was held at the Kinam I Hotel in Pétion-Ville for 20 Judicial Police Officers (OPJ) from the DCPJ. This training session aimed to enhance the knowledge and skills of these OPJs in identifying, investigating, and prosecuting mass atrocities, in accordance with national and international standards relating to human rights and criminal justice. During this activity, the trainers focused on investigative mechanisms, the collection and preservation of evidence, and the judicial procedures applicable to cases related to mass atrocities. With this initiative, the DCPJ reaffirms its commitment to strengthening the capacities of its officers in order to improve the quality of judicial investigations and contribute effectively to the fight against impunity in Haiti.
