iciHaiti - Infrastructure : RN6 Road Resurfacing Work : 52 km Already Completed

As part of the implementation of the Government's roadmap, the restoration of communication infrastructure is a priority for stabilizing the country and reviving the economy. It is within this context of urgency and results that the paving work on National Route 6 (RN6), linking Carrefour La Mort to Ouanaminthe, is taking place.

Engineer Joseph Almathe Pierre Louis, the Minister of Public Works, conducted a site visit to oversee the progress of the project.

The figures demonstrate significant progress :

- Total length : 56 km

- Completion level : 52 km already paved

- Impact : Near-total connectivity on this strategic route in the Far North.

This concrete progress fulfills one of Engineer Pierre Louis's key promises during his inaugural address, in which he pledged to "make the rehabilitation of major roads a lever for opening up isolated areas." By completing this section, the Minister is transforming official commitments into tangible benefits for the population.

The rehabilitation of National Road 6 is not just about paving; it represents a new lease of life for the Northeast Department. It will facilitate the movement of people and goods, strengthen trade, and contribute to the economic development of the Northeast, particularly towards the Haitian-Dominican border.
