Pythagore Dumas, Minister of Youth, Sports, and Civic Action (MJSAC), officially commits the Ministry to the project called "Ti Mondyal 2026".

Led by Viva Rio and its partners, this project aims to mobilize Haitian youth and the entire population around sports, in anticipation of the 2026 World Cup.

During a planning meeting held this week in Pétion-ville, led by Luis Guilherme N. Da Silva, Ambassador of Brazil to Haiti, several key stakeholders responded to the call. Representatives from Viva Rio and France, the Ambassadors of Mexico, Spain, and Colombia, as well as the Head of the European Union Delegation, were present. The President of the Haitian National Sports Observatory (ONASH), Me Edwing Charles, also participated in the discussions, demonstrating the diversity and importance of the stakeholders involved.

Initiated by the Political Affairs Division of the United Nations Integrated Office in Haiti (BINUH), this meeting helped define the main objectives of "Ti Mondyal 2026".

Minister Dumas notably welcomed the planned organization of national sporting competitions, held in parallel with the World Cup, to encourage civic participation, youth leadership, and the strengthening of the social fabric.
