The General Directorate of Migration (DGM) revealed that in February 2026, 30,799 Haitians in an irregular migration situation were arrested and then deported to Haiti via official border crossings. These arrests followed migration control operations conducted in various provinces of the country by DGM agents with the support of the armed forces and police.

For the first two months of 2026, the total number of Haitians deported reached 67,940.

The DGM reiterated that it will continue to strengthen immigration controls throughout the country, in accordance with applicable regulations and established procedures, and to guarantee the protection of the human rights of those detained and deported to their country of origin.
