On Wednesday, April 1st, 2026, the General Directorate of the Haitian National Police informed the public that the large-scale operations launched on Tuesday morning, March 31, with the support of the Gang Supression Force (GSF), are continuing with great determination in the Artibonite department against terrorist gangs. Specialized units deployed in the field are making progress in several areas :

Pyèpayen Locality :

Law enforcement successfully dismantled four major roadblocks erected using large rocks and shipping containers. During this operation, intense exchanges of fire took place, resulting in the deaths of several terrorists. Others were wounded and fled to the Maya mountains, where the police continue to pursue them.

Bwa Nèf and Jandeni :

Specialized units are conducting relentless offensives. In the Jandeni area, the bandits were unable to resist the security forces, forcing them to abandon their base and retreat.

3rd Section of Dessalines (Bwajou and Ponjou) :

Fighting continues to dislodge all the terrorists who occupied these areas. The determination of the PNH and FRG teams forced several terrorists to flee and take refuge in the Kafou Woje area.
